What is gem ?
The Government E-Marketplace (GeM) is a Government E-Commerce portal. It is a one stop solution for all businesses to sell and buy their products and services. GeM had begun in 2017.
The purpose of GeM is to empower the small businesses, manufacturer, service provider to enter the wide and interactive online platform, where they can directly sell their products and services to different departments of Govt., organizations and PSUs. Different governments and PSUs( Central & State) can buy products locally or from private business operators, manufacturer & services.
